PROCESS FLOW MSW to Torrefied Charcoal (Green Coal)

  • Final product is the remaining solid with High Carbon Content
  • Physical & Chemical Properties similar to that of Mineral Coal
  • Torrefied Charcoal is hydrophobic and has High Heating Value (Gross Calorific Value)
  • Saving High Quality Solid Fuel
  • Can be Blended / Cofired with Existing Burners of Boilers
  • GCV of Produced MSW Coal in Range of 4000 5000 K.Cal /Kg
  • Raw Garbage Input -300 Tons Per Day – Fresh Mixed / Unsorted Household Garbage into Storage Pit
  • Fresh Garbage will be fed into the Bag Opener to disintegrate the Garbage Packs.
  • Fresh Garbage will Pass through the Dryer.
  • In the Dryer the Moisture and Flu Gas will be removed and rerouted for Reactors’ Heat Energy.
  • Carbonization Reactor will be initially heated through Biomass Gasifiers.
  • From the Reactor the Processed Material will Pass through the Magnetic Separator / Eddy Current Separator for Removal of Recyclables.
  • The Inert will be Converted into Path Tiles / Paver Blocks etc.,
  • The Final Processed Charcoal Powder will be Mixed with Binder Material and Water if required to be Pelletized or it shall be sold as Coal Powder itself.

PROCESS FLOW - MASS BALANCE

  • Thermochemical treatment of feedstock at 250 to 300 C
  • Controlled Oxygen Environment
  • Moisture and Volatiles contained in the MSW is released
  • No Emissions of Dioxins and Furans due to Lower Process’ Temperature
  • Continuous & Real Time Gas Monitoring
  • Raw Garbage Input -300 Tons Per Day – Fresh Mixed / Unsorted Household Garbage.
  • Leachate 3 Tons will be in the Storage Pit.
  • Balance 297 Tons will be fed into the Bag Opener to disintegrate the Garbage Packs.
  • 40% / 90 Tons Moisture will be removed in the Dryer and the Steam will be rerouted to the Reactor for Heating Purpose.
  • 297 Tons - 90 Tons = 207 Tons will be fed into Reactor and 89 Tons of Volatile Gas in the Garbage will be removed in the Process and will be rerouted to the Burner for Heating Purpose.
  • 207 Tons - 89 Tons = 118 Tons of Garbage will go through the Sieve Screener and 18 Tons will go through the Separator by Conveyor and 3 Tons ie 1% of 300 Tons = 3 Tons of Iron and Steel Scrap will be Removed.
  • 18 Tons – 3 Tons = 15 Tons of Garbage will go through the Eddy Current Separator and 1 Ton of Aluminium will be separated in the Input raw Material.
  • 118 Tons – 18 Tons = 100 Tons Carbon Powder will be Mixed with 3 Tons Leachate Treated Water and 5 Tons Binder Material and 10 Tons of Water will be Mixed for Pellettization of Carbon Powder as per Buyer’s requirements.
  • 18 Tons – 3 Tons Iron Scrap = 15 Tons – 1 Ton Aluminium Scrap – 14 Tons Inert Material.
  • 115 Tons of Mixed Pellets will be fed into Dryer and 15 Tons Moisture from that will be removed.
  • Finally 100 Tons of Pellets will be the Output Material.

Combustible Fraction to Coal

Municipal Solid Waste’s Combustible Fraction (Plastic, Cloth, Rubber, Leather, Wood Waste, Paper Boards) is converted into Carbon Enriched Fuel (Coal) which is used as a heat energy source in Cement Plants, Steel Plants, Brick kilns, Ceramic Industries, Tea Factories etc. Coal with 4200 – 4500 Kcal – GCV. This makes the Process / Project Financially Viable and Successful.

Dump Yard to Park/Golf Course

Four lines of Machinery Line Assembly will be installed to process 2400 Tons of legacy waste while 2 lines of Reactors will be installed to convert combustible waste into Carbon Enriched Fuel (Coal) a fully disposable and saleable product.

The entire dump yard site will be reclaimed within 36 Months time and further it shall be developed as Park / Mini Golf Course without any residual bad odour.
